    Authentic Barnwood Furniture

It all started a century or two ago. Trees were cut down manually - with axes. Hefty beams and boards were hand hewn from the timbers. Barns, sheds, houses and other outbuildings were assembled out of these materials using the tried and true mortise and tenon construction system. Many of these buildings stood for a century or more.

Today, with less farming and as these buildings continue to age, many are disassembled piece by piece, with great care taken to preserve the precious natural resource - the wood.

After the structure is disassembled, the lumber is hauled to the lumber handling yard where it undergoes a cleaning and drying process. All the lumber is run under a metal detector where nails are marked and removed, then stacked for drying.

The lumber is then kiln-dried to 7% moisture and is finally ready to be hand-crafted into genuine reclaimed barnwood furniture for your home.

    One of a Kind Unique

Barnwood is a unique natural resource. Each piece of furniture made of this material will be one of a kind. No piece of material has exactly the same wood grain pattern or color characteristics.

The barnwood process is an excellent green way to preserve the old and vintage and give the precious natural resource a second life.

Reclaimed barnwood is an ideal material when looking for a rustic, durable and timeless piece of furniture. Customize and order your set today.

Amish quality is well worth the wait. Please allow additional time for long distance shipping.
